As one of the most indestructible indoor plant around, this is a great plant to start off any collection while also being very easy to propagate. They are a shade loving plants that look particularly great in a hanging pots as they send out long stems with flowers and juvenile plants growing from them.
The spider plant has many rhizomes beneath the soil which it uses to store energy and water. This feature is why it’s such a tough plant. Keep your spider plant in a well lit spot out of direct sunlight for the best growth. If they aren’t receiving enough light the leaves may become greener to compensate. Avoid direct sunlight.
Keep the soil moist during the warmer months and reducing watering in Winter. Fertilize during Spring and Summer.
